Negative list updation available in FTP site

The file 'NL_20111231.exe' needs to be copied to DBAnalyzer folder and executed. This will update the negative list upto 31/12/2011 (corrections received upto 25/01/2012) in Sanchay Post. To confirm updation, use 'DBAnalyzer>>Database Discrepancies >> NSC >> Details of negative listupdation' option.

new mail arrangement of regd and non regd articles

All Post offices will close:-1. 2 bags to its own mail office-one bag with TD( articles deliverable by the POs of the own mail office L-1 or L-2) and the other with NTD( all outgoing articles).

2. 2 registered bags closed for TD and NTD on the above lines. They should be included in the respective TD and NTD bags closed.

3. Account bag to the HO should be included in the TD bag.

4 BOs should continue to send all mails to the account office as per the existing instructions in the account bag closed, subject to further orders

Launching of D-Light Sales

Solar Emergency Lamp ( D-Light) sales through post office was inaugurated at Chengalpattu Post office on 14.11.2011 by Sri.Sankaranarayanan, Rotary Club Past President. 10 Numbers of Lamp sold out within one hour. The cost of the lamp comes us Rs.549/-.Department of Posts earns 10% of the amount as commission.

Subject: Payment of Dearness Allowance to Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) at revised                  rates w.e.f. 01.07.2011 onwards-reg.

            Consequent upon grant of another installment of Dearness allowance , with effect from 1st July, 2011 to the Central Government Employees vide Government of India , Ministry of Finance , Department of Expenditure, OM No. 1(14)/2011-E-II(B) dated 3rd October,2011, the Gramin Dak Sevaks(GSD) have also become entitled to the payment of dearness allowance on basic TRCA at the revised rate with effect from 01.07.2011. It has, therefore, been decided that the dearness allowance payable to the Gramin Dak Sevaks shall be enhances from the existing rate 51% to 58% on the basic Time Related Continuity Allowance with effect from the 1st July, 2011.

2.         The additional installment of dearness allowance payable under this order, shall be paid in cash to all Gramin Dak Sevaks. The payment of arrears of dearness allowance for the months of July to September, 2011, shall not be made before the date of disbursement of TRCA for the month of September, 2011.

3.         The expenditure on this account shall be debited to the Head" Salaries" the relevant head of account and should be met from the sanctioned grant.

4.         This issues with the concurrence of Integrated Wing vide their Dairy No. 123/FA/II/CS dated 18th October, 2011.

Removal of Desktop Software-regarding

It is noticed that the remote desktop softwares like Teamviewer, ShowmyPC and G bridge etc were installed in Nodes/Servers in many offices which are not authorised by DOP as those softwares pose security threat to our data.
SMs are directed to remove desktop softwares immediately so as to avoid any damage to the datas in system.
Postmasters/System Managers will be held squarely responsible if any remote desktop softwares were found used in post offices.

M M Version 7.0.2 Patch release

CEPT Mysore has released a patch M M POS 7.0.2 to eliminate "Manual Entry" .

The following modifications are done in this patch.

1. Locking of all fields of TNEB transactions except service number before fetching data.
2. Locking of all fields of TNEB transactions including  service number after fetching data.
3. Rectified the reported error "Returned Without Go Sub" while fetching data.
4. Validations for Policy Number, Name and Agent Code whild doing PLI and RPLI transactions.
